An integral part of the community, Ren and Susan Snyder are well known as one of the area’s leading real estate teams. Partners in life and in business, Ren and Susan have been helping friends and clients since 1990. During that time, the Snyders have worked with hundreds of families, couples, and singles buying and selling homes.

In 2004, The Snyder Group was formed in order to provide even better service to more people — through increased investment in key personnel, training, service systems, marketing, and technology resources.

Together, Ren, Susan, and their enthusiastic team have earned a reputation for excellence by guiding clients through smooth home sales and purchases with knowledge, experience, and a friendly approach.

Maris started her Real Estate career in 2003 when she joined The Snyder Group. Maris comes to Real Estate following a lengthy career as a Librarian at Cranbrook Academy of Arts. She takes great pride in hard work, honesty and the satisfaction of working with clients to bring them the best possible outcomes. Maris has a Bachelors degree in fine arts and a Masters degree in Library Science from the University of Michigan. Her talents and experience have been useful assets in helping sellers stage their homes for listings and giving buyers insights and vision when previewing homes. She has traveled and lived internationally (Sweden) before relocating back to the states and to Ann Arbor in 2000. Maris loves to share Ann Arbor and is an integral part of the community and her Northside neighborhood.

Chris Marten, Realtor Partner

Chris graduated from Western Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. After graduation she held several marketing positions until she decided to start her family. As a full time mother of two children, Chris has been actively involved in school functions including: PTSO, Booster Clubs and a volunteer parent helper in the classroom. Her hobbies include equestrian training, running, skiing and fashion consulting.

Chris began her Real Estate career in 2010 with The Snyder Group at Reinhart Realtors. She finds the opportunity to help families find just the right home as a gratifying challenge.

To properly serve a home Buyer or Seller requires a realtor team thoroughly familiar with the area. Since our clients are counting on our expertise, we study homes, prices, market trends and conditions every single day. We know what is new on the market, what the competition is, price reductions and what homes have received offers.
Susan began her Real Estate Career in 1990 and quickly became one of the area’s top agents (32 homes sold in her first year0 with the respect of her peers and strong long-standing relationships with all of the areas Top Agents. Prior to Real Estate, Susan had a twenty-year career in pediatric respiratory therapy at U of M Mott Children’s Hospital. Susan is a graduate of Sienna Heights University.

Ren began his residential Real Estate Career in 1993, preceded by professional management experience:

  •  President of Midtown Properties (Commercial Real Estate Investment and Management Company)
  • VP Administration of Bioimage, High-Tech subsidiary of Eastman Kodak
  • Financial Manager and Corporate Auditor with Fortune 500 Corporation, Hoover Universal, Inc.
Ren is a graduate of the Eastern Michigan University.
The most important part of our careers has been helping clients develop and achieve their real estate goals and dreams. For many years the foundation of our business has been positive word-of-mouth referrals from past clients. 
Providing “first-rate” service to clients has always been our top priority. The amount of disclosures and paperwork has tripled since we began our Real Estate careers. This requires the staffing o a full-time team, supported by a professional Secretary dedicated to following up on and responding to the many requests, calls and faxes generated by clients, cooperating Agents and ancillary service providers. 
As a Realtor team, we have a written contract with our clients. Part of that agreement involves terms like “good faith,” “diligent effort,” “looking out for the best interests of the client” etc. We want to know that we take this very seriously. We believe in the Golden Rule, as a client, you will be treated and served as we ourselves, would want to be treated.
